going out for the night?

Newcastle is the home of 2 of the best Universities in the UK, with Northumbria Uni spending over 200 million on their beautiful award winning new campus and Newcastle Uni coming 2nd in “The Best University” 2007 in the UK for their media and Communications course in the Guardian list of 100 best Universities, but we also have one of the most diverse cultural and entertainments events.

For the culture hungry, there is the amazing Baltic Gallery on Newcastle Quayside which has a vast and often controversial collection of work which changes on a regular basis.

We also have a number of small independent galleries like the side gallery, waygood and electric sheep, all showing new and upcoming local artists.

Then add to that The Sage music venue, The Newcastle Arena (with upcoming guests including Kylie Minogue, International Ice Hockey, High School the Musical on ice and much more), Carling Academy, Newcastle University and for the sociable student, you couldn’t choose a city with as much choice in bars, clubs and restaurants. With the award winning “Rockerfellas” to the old trusty Pizza Expresses out there Newcastle has them all.

So, in a nutshell Newcastle offers you an amazing range of events and things to do and all accompanied by the Geordie friendly spirit.
